Liberals take the position that the US constitution granted everyone freedom to pursuit happiness and that people should be let alone to decide for themselves as to what is good, bad, and that no one should tell them what is good or bad because it is a subjective opinion reserved for each person to decide for oneself. Critics of Liberals say that judgement is good, standards are good, existence of shame, morals, and the existences of evil and good. Liberals don't agree with barriers or rules or standards. Conservatives believe standards are good and that people should be shamed for shameful behavior and that evil behavior should be identified and espoused, and that judgement of others actions is a good thing to make and have. What do you think?

i think you better talk to a real liberal and see for yourself that is not how we think. No liberal that i know of thinks that evil should be allowed to run rampant, belives that wrong doing should not go punished, that there should be no rules. Your deliberatley misunderstanding what liberal means and what we stand for to promote your own tyrannical conservative beliefs.
Live and let live does not mean free orgies and murder running rmapant. Get your facts straight.

I think your question is full of convoluted logic. It's not hard to see which side of the fence you are on, and if you truly feel you are asking this question objectively, it's apparant which side has affected your thinking more.
You're right, Liberals really want is nobody telling them that there are standards, that everyone can decide for themselves.
What Liberals mainly resist, if they'd just be intellectually honest, is objective truth. That is why a Liberal can preach tolerance and then practice the antithesis to Conservatives, because they have subjectively decided that tolerance only works for those who agree with their subjective truth stance. That's why the ACLU can say they are standing up for free speech and then seek to shut down the free speech rights of Conservatives.
Conservatives do believe in standards, yes....standards based in objective truth. When those standards are in place, then what the Liberals call judgementalism is just a Conservative reminding everyone of objective truth.

I think you are generalizing your already misunderstood "liberal" view. "Liberals don't agree with barriers or rules or standards"... I would have to say that is not true, along with many of the other comments you made to represent a "liberal" view.
Are there not passages in the bible that suggest that judging other humans is not healthy?
Most people believe that people should be shamed for shameful behavior, and evil behavior should be identified and espoused. I think the difference lies in what constitutes "shameful" and "evil" behavior. For instance, many liberals don't believe that being gay is shameful, so they would therefore not want it to be punished, but a conservative who believes being gay is shameful would want it to be punished or prohibited. If both liberals and conservatives believed being gay was shameful, then both would agree on the rules and standards of identifying it, judging it, punishing it, and prohibiting it.
Can you define "liberal" and "conservative"?

Liberals do believe in laws, standards and rules, just a lot fewer! Many liberals don't believe you can legislate morality ---- but it seems like we are always trying to do this, or needing to, to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
The distortion about liberal thinkers is just that, a distortion of the truth.

Laws are good, but the only one that should judge anything is God. Everyone should leave eachother alone and live their lives peacefully.
