Because all the other arguments don't hold water when compared to 100 different places around the world. It didn't make sense to go into Iraq when we weren't done in Afghanistan. It seemed rushed. Colin Powell's presentation before the UN wasn't compelling enough, and, as you know, the intelligence was faulty and there WERE people that knew that, yet they weren't listened to. Plus you got the whole PNAC thing, which is real, and totally lays out the framework for military action to advance the U.S. cause, no matter what.
So, that brings us to the only logical conclusion left: Oil. Resources are diminishing and we in America use more oil than any other country in the world. Make no mistake about it, the powers that be in this administration were itching to go to war with Iraq well before 9/11.

I am sorry to say I disagree. First off, since the acquisition of oil fields in Iraq the price of oil has been increasing but not at the pace it was proceeding at, in fact it had been holding steady for a couple of months, but the the truth is prices of things increase, that is a fact of life, but that also doesn't change the fact that America now has control of another country's oil field and the company controlling it has links to the vice president, and same said company was handed the contract without any competitive bidding.
Next, there is a difference between a weapon and a weapon of mass destruction. Although I agree with you on this point, it remains that we went to war to look for weapons of mass destructions, not weapons that we knew Iraq had because the U.S. government had prior given it to Iraq.
And, lets not forget that the president after no evidence surfaced would not address the topic and wanted to discuss his brilliant vision of going to Mars and preventing gay marriage, both of which he seemed to feel would make America a better place.

Because there's no other reason why we are still messing with Iraq! When this whole thing started, Bush stated that it was to get Bin Laden, then later he stopped talking about getting B. Laden, B. Laden been making all those videos, but yet we still can't find him??? Then all of a sudden he talked about getting Saddam Hussein, and he got him...why did he stop talking about B. Laden? Any way, if finding weapons of mass destruction was the reason we went to war in Iraq and they already admitted that they found no evidence of mass destruction in Afghanistan and Iraq, then why are we still there? Obviously that wasn't the reason...it's the OIL!!!
We're robbing them blind, like we robbed Africa's diamond mines! We're going to HELL!!!

Because they are uneducated, and make no plans to change that fact. It is easier to b*tch, than to try to do something to attempt to make the situation better. I was honored to read a response on one of the questions, that read something like, how is Bush like Hitler. The responder went by the name of Ranger, and He advised that He had served in Iraq for 20 months. He also added that most of the People's responses, on yahoo answers, make Him sick. He said that He alone has personally witnessed enough biological and chemical warfare recovered, from Iraq, to fill the Louisiana Super dome. He stated that the Iraq People thank the Troops every day for the help and intervention by Our Military, and the Militaries, from other Countries, supporting the War effort. He also stated that far less People are dying every day now, than when Saddam, and his Son's were in charge. He said that He watched His buddies die, so that People here in the U.S. could sit at their computers and complain. He said do some research before opening your trap in the future, for those who state facts that are incorrect. He also told the same People that they would never know what the conditions were like for Our Soliders, and the innocent People of Iraq, and that those who state information, with no documentation to support it, should shut up and go back to their meaningless lives. It was great to here from a Soldier who had actually served in Iraq, to hear the truth, and to have it stated that they, (Our Troops), are stationed in Iraq for a reason. And last, but not least that the Troops, and Their actions, are very much needed.
Thanks again Ranger.

tell me that U gave a damn about Rwanda, Sudan or any other place that had no oil or was not guarding oil. Every place that the west is Currently involved in is involved in some way with oil production. Dictators are supported as long as they are supplying oil but if that is impeded then they are suddenly little Hitlers and Europe and North America are suddenly concerned about all those poor people who ten minutes before didn't count at all, who they were helping those dictators to kill torture and maim
The people who say it is about oil at least have the merit of honesty.
And what is wrong with having a war to secure needed resources anyway? Better that than to fight for lies!

Because the battle over weather we should be in Iraq unfortunately has little to do with Iraq its struggle to gain the upper hand on Capitol hill and in order to do this both sides are Trying to make bad guys out of their opponents remember when we first went into Iraq almost every one was on board later we have some saying they were lied to this is a bad policy just because why would I reelect someone to a position were they get access to the privileged information I cant if they are so easily fooled.

Well, from what I understand of the long running policy of the US government, we are to protect the Middle East to allow for more stability of oil. This goes back to the founding of the UN after WWII. The people who are against this war, and the people who are against all wars do not want to see what we are doing as good. A lot of them are disappointed that we won the cold war. They are even madder when we did not rub it into Russia's face that we won. It is like when Abraham Lincoln told his cabinet not to celebrate the winning of the Civil War because of what the cost was. These same people tend to have selective memory and hearing. The same kind caused us to lose a war that we were winning by giving aid and comfort to the enemy. I say that we should arrest for treason any reporter or person who turns or reports anything that harms our troops or gives aid to the enemy. We have a freedom of speech, but only as long as it does not hurt innocent people.

Last time I listened to an intellegent dialog regarding the war in Iraq, oil was NOT an issue. It is made up as an issue by the liberal media who need to invent a lie to argue that the U.S. shouldn't be waging war against the terrorists in Iraq. It is merely a lie and a means of trying to convince an uneducated public (Democrats) that they should be upset about the war.

OK, let's get real here.
George Bush took this on as his way of avenging his father from the previous war in Iraq.
Afer 911, he decided to use Iraq and Sadaam (who really is a bad guy) as a scapegoat.
We should really be going after the Taliban for 911.
The Taliban are the biggesst group of cowards that walk the face of this earth.
If you are so gung ho about your casue, then why do you hide in caves and act so cowardly?
stand up and be known like a real man.
Take what is deserved of you(death).
Yes, Iraq has a lot of problems, but look at us, do you see our country as any better?
We have power, corruption, poverty,etc...
What makes us thin another country shoudn't try to control us for being so screwed up?

People who oppose President Bush cannot admit these things because their rabid hatred of the man is not based on logic or reason. It's an emotional, out-of-control, drooling mob mentality.
They will continue to chant all their little catch-phrases in the face of all facts to the contrary. I don't know how the country got this way, but I think it's a shame people can't use reason and maintain the ability to see things outside their own tiny world view.
