In many cases you could probably guess and be right but there are so many instances where people like music not necessarily associated with their race. While rappers and their audience are primarily black, a whole lot of other young people of other races love rap. A whole lot of black people listen to rock as well. I like some Cold Play and Damien Rice, but I love Miles Davis, Coltrane and R&B as well.

So, no, the music a person listens to is not always a good indicator of their race.

No. I enjoy all types of music. I prefer Rock, Ballads and Blues. But I listen to classical, ethnic and some country and gospell, too. Good music transcends race and borders. Music apprecieation makes us the human race instead of different races! God bless you.

What you are refering to is called stereotyping. Not only is that 100% percent ignorant, but it's also 90% inaccurate.

Example: I listen to classical, some rap, a lot of punk, alternative, a little bit of r&b, no country, latin, industrial, electronica, new wave, and Enya rocks.

Bet you can't tell what my race is.

Then you'll look at my avatar, NOT my musical tastes, and say, "Oh, he's black" as in African American. But guess what? You'd STILL be wrong!

How about that?

Not anymore. A lot of white kids listen to hip hop, and I saw several black people at the Rob Zombie concert I went to a couple of months ago. There's nothing wrong with that. It's cool that people are learning about other types of music and enjoying them.

I dont think so. I like a variety of music so what would i be? I think open minded people like anything thats worth listening too regardless of what kind it is. Or maybe the mood they are in. For me I love country but sometimes Im into hip hop or oldies (rock and roll) or sometimes heavy metal.

Of course not u idiot! That is such a racist question. And why would u want/need to tell a persons race by the music they listen to anyway.....?

No, not possible. First of all, you may not recognize the music, so, of course, you could not identify the listener. Secondly, I like most all music and listen to all ethnic groups. I identify with Celtic music, but could not be pinned down to that heritage.

No people of all different races listen to different things, that is just a sterotype.
