ok here i go and i'm always cusing at people about asking these stupid questions... but yeah... i was on the depo then moved to TX from FL and i can't get the depo any more and well i havn't had a period in almost 2 yrs nor have i had sex in almost 2 years but had sex last night and well i still havn't had my period and have been off about 4 mths... is there still away that i can get preg?.. * unprotected* i'm an idoit.. i know... does any one no what my chances are of getting preg? or when i should take a preg test? every 2 weeks?..lol i dunno please help thanks sherrie

i have a son already i got preg at 15 and he is 3 and i'm 19 and i was on birthcontrol and used a condom and it broke and i still got preg so i'm really going crazy here...

Well do a pregnacy test in three weeks time. You are not an Idot just didnt think right when you had unprotected sex. Most people do that, no one is perfect. Well if you are there are things you need to think about and think hard about them if you are pregnant. Good luck taking the test. If you are very worried then go and see the doctor and see what info he has on this matter for you. Hope you are ok, and just think next time. One mistake now not having protected sex next time dont do it.

It's hard to say. Sometimes the depo stays in your system for a long time, some times it's out pretty quick. They say that it is usually out in 3 months (as was the case with me) but I have known people who didn't have their period for a year (!) after getting off the shot. I would guess you are not pregnant if you haven't gotten your period back, but there is always that slim chance....
I would periodically, say, every 3 weeks or so, take a pregnancy test. If it is consistently negative, and you have no side effects then you are probably not pregnant. Keep your fingers crossed, and you can always go to the doctor to be sure.

You might get lucky and still not be able to have a baby yet. But yeah in about 2 weeks you should go get tested. I was off the shot for a year and a half and didn't get preg. I had unprotected sex with my husband. So cross your fingers and hope girl.

i was on the depo for five years. after i got off it I had a 5 month long straight period. I had to be tested for anemia. I also have irregular periods. Sometimes 4 a year. If you haven't had sex in 2 years, you should be well stocked up on eggs and very fertile. If you want to get pregnant have sex every other day for a month and see what happens.

the depo shot can take up to or over a year to come out of your system. Why don't you go for the morning after pill just to be on the safe side? You can take that I think up to 72 hours after unprotected sex (3 days)

because you were on the depo for so long, there is a good chance you might not be pregnant. Take a pregnancy test in 3 weeks, just to be sure that you aren't.

NO, Go get the preg test right away and check to see if you are preg. If not, that's the GOOD NEWS. Please from now on have protective sex or no sex. See a DOCTOR for help.

If it's been 4 months since your last shot, there's probably a slight chance of pregnancy. The chances that you got an STD may be higher though...
