The one thing that I give him credit for is funding for more global AIDs research. I don't know the details (like how much) but they were talking about this on PBS The Newshour one day.

I do not like Bush Personally. I think war had good and bad. Also if he wasn't there who would have been? No matter how much I disagree with what he says and does I still know to be a president is a whole nother story. He could have had it all planned out and then the minute he became the president he may have a whole new issue to solve! He kept himself together and did a pretty good job along the way! Being the president is a hard job so I think that being president altogether is great of him. Also he has gotten Bad men into jail and much more. Have more.... G2G so bye bye now!

George Bush has done the best he can with what he has had to deal with. He took over a mess that the Clintons left and he is blamed for every disaster this country has suffered.
He hurt just the same as the rest of us on 9/11.
He is not GOD, he can't fix all messes in 8 years. Every election year the current president is accused of the state of the union. Why do educated Americans not see that so very clearly.
He has been as honest as any politician can possibly be and I support him.

Resident Bush has completely eliminated the National Guard, as a means of avoiding combat duty!!! It appears, that the days of the "Champaign" Units are gone, which is a good thing!!! Had President Johnson done done this, during the Vietnam era, Bush would have had the opportunity to become a real hero, as have over 2500 of our young soldiers, in Iraq!!!

Hummm. Not negativef???
Well, let's see.
Well, we have Buzzflash now. And MoveOn.org (charter member here), and we have yearly desk calendars with 365 bushisms to make us laugh (and shudder to think ...) and we have bunches of books outlining all his many - shall we say "successes," such as his "mission accomplished" voyage and all the many and varied and wondrous mechanisms that went into that event.
Oh, yeah, and we have video clips of his malapropisms - of his saying really dirty words, even curse words, while mikes are near him, about reporters, diplomats, et al, and those are funny.
Speaking of videos, we have in one of those same videos, a full minute of the man chewing a mouthful of food with his mouth open, and speaking to Mr. Blair with his mouth full of food, while saying a really dirty word.
Hysterical!
The man is a natural comedian!
For those who like murder and mayhem, nearly 3,000 citizens of the U.S. have been killed in pursuit of his dream (see how patriotic some of them are!) and several hundred thousand civilians have been killed and maimed (but they're Iraquis, so I guess they don't count as human beings, not even the elderly, the sick, the women, the children).
What a man!
And then there is his strong-willed statement, which was not reported anywhere except on those stinking liberal news shows (although it was recorded for posterity) that the brave and courageous veteran of the Viet Nam war said "It's just a G--D---- piece of paper" and he was talking about the Constitution.
OUR Constitution. Mine and yours.
Aren't you proud???
And the fact that the first and only piece of legislation he has ever vetoed was stem cell research, so that he has protected all those excess frozen embroys in the fertility clinics, and now the fertility technicians can just flush them down the toilet like they do.
I can't see how he could be much better as a president, do you?
And let's go back to his very first act, even before he was president.
Somehow, he managed to get the entire government of the state of Florida to stop a legal vote count.
Somehow, after that, he managed to get the Supreme Court of the United States of America to, in essence, appoint him president, because, as one of the justices was quoted as saying, "not doing so would prevent Mr. Bush from becoming president."
Hummmmm.
Not many men could pull that off.
Can I think of more?
Oh yes.
But I'm nearly giddy with all my thoughts of all the positive things I've said so far, and I think I'll go rest.
I feel faint, and slightly nauseated. Don't know what's come over me.
Someone else needs to log on and say something positive about the man.
Have at it.

Hey..it`s not everything about war and killing. It`s about mentaining a BIG world power.
What would you do without fuel?
Protecting you from the terorrism is like hiding behind your finger without knowing the real answers and the real face of how this whole world worked before and will work from nowon.
I`m not american but I love you all liberals and republicans...you and even bush do lots of great things....it`s normal sometimes to make smaller or bigger mistakes. God bless America. And I hope that the next thing will be a small earth peace.

well lets see. He lowered taxes which improved our economy, through liberal and hypocritical and hypercritical criticism he has prevented any further attacks on U.S. soil after September 11, 2001. the jobless rate has been kept under 5% throughout his presidency um, since his economy programs have been instilled. he's tried to hold the line on good traditions like historical evidences of Christianity being a part of this nation's make up. He's taken the conflict involving terrorism to the terrorists rather than sit around trying to anticipate the next attack on our soil. he's tried to hold accountable those who undermine our nation's security without being heavy handed. he's withstood personal attacks against his character with humor and patience. I could go on but I have responsibilities to attend to.

He showed us who he really is. Just look at his false remorse when the twin towers and building seven were pulled down. You'd think the man didn't know that his brother whose contract as Security manager for those buildings hadn't ended on the morning of 9/11. Evil incarnate.

There is alot of Good Answers so far. Ending Sadaam Hussein's dictatorship, lowered taxes, etc... I think it is great that he has made two trips to Iraq to support our soliders. I think it is great that he is a faithful husband. And the whole world knows that when he says something he means it.
