i believe he is but not by a big margin. he is one of the best players in the league but some people say he is the best and thats just not true.

Geo, don't think that was the question. It's if he's overated not if he's the best. Overated? Absolutely not. He's a great player. One of the best. He'd certainly be my #1 pick to start a franchise with. But that doesn't make other choices wrong ones.
He scores like 26 a game, gets about 10 boards a game, his defense has been improving, his passing was on display in the playoffs and will only get better, and his bench around him just got better. Maurice Ager will be a big addition and be a more complete player than Marquise Daniels would ever be. And Austin Croshere is a decent replacement for Keith Van Horn.
If Dallas can sign Mike James I would say look out and Dirk for MVP.

No Dirk averages about 15 or points a game he's one of the best free-throw shooters off all-time you have to give him some credit for that.
If he could hit those fade-away shots like he does so easy than he should be one of the best

no but gilbert arenas is overrated because he realy did not make the allstar team they pick him beacuse jermaine oneal was injured at that time and dirk made the allstar team.

No he is not, he did well thourghout the whole season and just fell short in the finals. Not his fault
