In a nation full of yellow ribbons and patriotism you’d figure a service member could choose any state to live in. Not so, Montanans demonstrate endlessly that the only people they want here are Montanans and Super Wal-Marts. They’ve learned to blame outsiders coming in for loss of identity, instead of dealing with their "sell-out" neighbors. But hey, all’s not too bad; Perhaps that’s why everywhere I have been in the world, and I am very well travelled; the absolute most evil of people are Montanans. I haven’t met a Montanan yet that hasn’t told me “If you don’t like it, leave.” I think I will, Montanans deserve to have Californians come up and buy everything, big corporations like Wal-Mart to employ their drop-out kids, and to bring an onslaught of outsiders where Montanan tactics will be met with swift big-city tactics, Montanans will become extinct. Want a job here? Be sure to include "these ones" somewhere on your resume. Know what happens when inbreds breed? Montana.

I really hate to admit this because I truly believe in the brotherhood of mankind, but some of the uglilest personal experiences I have ever had involving other people have been in Montana. I don't know whether it's artificially maintaining a mind set of intolerant conservatism or the pretense that life is supposed to be simple that makes the averge Montanan dificult to have anything to do with, but I got completely fed up with it in a big hurry. I've never met more poorly mannered people anywhere in my life and I'm not interested in moving back.
No. You are not imagining it.
Back in the 60s and 70s My family went to Montana to buy cattle and we were met with the graciousness and good manners that we knew we could expect from the farmers and ranchers we knew there, but since then things have changed so much.
I finished my contracts in Montana and I doubt if I will go back. Too bad. It is such a pretty place.

Ouch.

Way to generalize, stereotype and cliché an entire state.

You know what, it is this kind of ignorance and misplaced rage that is at the source of all conflict and war.

This philosophy and way of thinking that "they're all the same and blah-blah-blah" is just pure evil.

Get a life.

Look at what's happening all around the world. Lebanon being bombed by Israel. US occupation of Iraq. Wars and destruction and famine and poverty and suffering everywhere.

Do you think the world needs your retarded coments about a bunch of people in a state? I think not.

Your energy would be more constructively channeled elsewhere.

I didn't know that anyone actually lived in Montana. The only native Monanans are Indians, so don't let white-eyes tell you any different. They are all a bunch of transplants.

I wouldn't say they're evil...they're just protective of their state identity and culture.
