Why do people say they are going to be here at noon, and then don't show up....?

I would never do that to someone. This is the third time they have done this to us!! Geeze, pick up the cell phone and call? Why do people like to ruin others weekends 3 weeks in a row? A phone call solves it all right? These are really great people other than that... Advice?
