In my opinion, it's when Jimmy Page of Led Zepplin did the guitar solo for "Stairway to Heaven".

its hard to say, its probably been played at a live performance because no guitar player that has any imagination will play a solo the same way for long. my favorite is david gilmores solo , the live version of on the turning away.
