I AM PLANNING A TRIP TO WASHINGTON D.C. AND WOULD LIKE TO VISIT THE SMITHONIAN MUSEUM. WHAT IS THE BEST TOUR TO GO WITH IF ANY.

There are 16 Smithsonian museums, by the way. You will need to decide what ones interest you the most, as they are quite large and you probably won't get to see them all. I think we prefer the Museum of American History, but others might prefer the Natural History Museum, or the American Indian one, or the Air and Space Museum., the National Zoo, Renwick Gallery, etc. I would suggest going to their website and studying up just a bit to get an idea of what you are looking for in advance of your trip. We have never gone on a tour in the museums, it's easy enough to handle them on your own.

Most museums and the zoo offer free highlights tours. Many also offer regularly scheduled exhibition tours and demonstrations.
