At that early stage in pregnancy its very hard to determine if the fetus is a boy or girl by the bpm. As you get further along the baby's heart rate drops and flutuates. I'm at 9 1/2 mts pregnant and my (son)'s heart rate can range anywhere from 130-170 depending on any stress he may be feeling or if he is moving. The best way to know for sure what your having is either by ultrasound or by an aminiocentis (excuse the spelling please). Hope this helps some

i'm 23 weeks pregnant and that i got here upon out 2 weeks in the past that i'm for positive having a boy. His heartbeat has always been over one hundred and fifty, and the myth is that over one hundred forty is a lady and lower than is a boy. there's a 50/50 probability that it should be precise. And as for the guy who stated that his spouse is a pediatrician and that one and all you pick is an basic blood attempt to ensure the sex, which could no longer authentic. no longer positive what he has been smoking, in spite of the indisputable fact that the most good attempt to ensure the sex may be an amniocentisis, then next in line may be an ultrasound. yet for sure, the only for positive ingredient is the genuinely start. Congratulations!

My daughter's heart was 165 bpm so I think it's a girl, but you can't go by that. When my mom had both of my brothers their heartbeats were 170 bpm.

The rate of the heartbeat will not tell you the sex. My son's heart rate varied between 140-160. I had a friend who gave birth to a girl and her heart rate was the same. The only way to tell the sex is thru ultrasound and even those can be wrong from time to time. Good luck with your pregnancy and I hope you get what you are hoping for either way I hope your child is born healthy and has a good life

I think it's a girl. My daughters heartbeat was 176 bpm. A higher heartbeat means a girl.

My daughters heart rate fluctuated any where from 135 to 165 bpm, so you really can't go off of the old wives tales. Remember you have a 50% chance of it being correct. Just be thankfully everything is going well and that baby is healthy. Good luck.

its always said that a higher heartbeat means that it is a girl but it could also be a boy or even twins with their heartbeats in rhythm... if you have a good sonographer then they could tell you boy or girl and give you a percentage that they are right. But with my pregnancy the heartbeat was 165-172 and she was a girl! so you probably would have a girl but i wouldnt just rely on that

It's really hard to say, my 1st child was a boy and his heart beat fluctuated between 135 and 148, but my 2nd was also a boy and his fluctuated between 140 and 165. So you can't tell by heart beat alone, you need an ultra sound to tell the sex of the child.

They say girls have a faster heart rate. My boys were always between 130-140. So I am guessing you are having a girl.
