Not sure, but that's a BAD IDEA!! You need to see a doctor because there are sooooooooooooo many different types of birth control methods you can't choose which one is right for you! That's why they went to school...... trust the doctor and if you can't afford a doctor go to Planned Parenthood. I went when I wasn't working and didn't have much money I got 6 months supply of pills and it only cost me $30 for the pills and exam. I went back before I ran out and they game me 6 more months of pills for $7. They go by your income. Do what's right, birth control pills can kill you if you are not careful!! They are very dangerous do some research!!

Birth control pills, also known as oral contraceptives, are available in the U.S. by prescription only. You may be able to obtain them at low or no cost at your local health department or a free clinic if there are any in your area, but there will be a physical exam (to include a pelvic) and medical history taken to determine if "the pill" is right for you. There are several different brands and strengths manufactured, so the dosage needs to be determined by a doctor or other licensed health professional (such as a nurse practioner or physician's assistant). Oral contraceptives are known to increase the risk of breast and possibly cervical cancer, so a family history is important. There are other risk factors as well, to include age of the woman considering the pill, whether she smokes, and cardiac risks as well (including cholesterol and hypertension or high blood pressure). Please check with your doctor before deciding the pill is the best choice for you. There are several alternatives available to the pill, such as condoms, contraceptive foam, "female" condoms, IUD, diaphram, and of course the "permanent" solution of tubal ligation and/or vasectomy. If none of these seem like viable options, abstinence is the choice left.

You can go to a women's clinic.
They give you either free samples or they let you buy it.
The only thing with this is that they have to give you a pap and check you out as well.
But the plus side is confidentiality...
PS Southern Girl.... You cannot just go into a store in Canada and ask for a controlled medicine... Maybe in Mexico, but not here!

Yes, call your County Health Clinic and ask : )) Also call Planned Parenthood or look in the Phone Book for another place to get them. Good luck. These both places should be free or close.

try planned parenthood. whatever you do, don't try and order them over the internet because most likely you won't be getting what you thought. at best they'd be harmless sugar pills, at worst they could be something completely different that could make you seriously ill.

if you live near the border, yes. otherwise, not so much.
it's dangerous to use a prescription designed for someone else, because your body is different than theirs, and you could have complications with medicines that they wouldn't.

No. It's important that you see a doctor first so s/he can prescribe what is appropriate for you.
