I go to work 5 or more days a week, and I belong to a labor union, where I pay dues and participate in leadership. I go to church on most sundays, and support my church with my money and my talents. I own a home and pay taxes. I like baseball (Cub's fan--oops) and I ride a bike for exercise. I have two small dogs that I care for daily, and both were adopted so that they wouldn't be destroyed. I have a sister and neices and nephews that I see as often as I can. I cared for each of my parents when they were elderly and ill. I vote in elections and work for the candidates who I believe deserve my support. I pick up litter when I see it and I support better schools in my community, even though I have no children of my own.

What part of my gay lifestyle is it that you don't like?

Those who would criticize you for WHO you are would be considered very narrow minded and feeble by most people.

There is one person here who continues to lurk in this area ONLY to demean the GLBT community with his so-called "Christian" philosophy as his armor. Pretty weak armor, I'd say.

When one takes a singular component out of someones life and then berates that individual bodes well for the TRUE foible of human nature: What we don't understand, we fear; what we fear, we despise. In many instances that which is feared is found within oneself, a fact that many people are too frightened to admit exists.

Your LIFE ... not life-STYLE ... is one that most people would be considered quite lucky to have; indeed, to have someone such as yourself involved in ones own life would be a great treasure.

There are far too many Gay people much like yourself that go unnoticed. People see what they want to see -- or are too frightened to see the truth because of self-doubt and nothing more.
Therein lies true pathos.

Yeah, every time I see or hear the words "gay lifestyle" I nearly choke. I have never understood it.

A long time ago when my mother was first coming to grips with me being homosexual, she said, "You are such a good person, why would you want to be part of the gay lifestyle."
I looked at her for a few minutes then I said, "mother, the fact that you recognize that I'm a good person should show you that there is no such thing as a gay lifestyle. This isn't something I have just become, it's just something I'm finally telling you about. My lifestyle up to now and in the future will be the same as it has always been. My values haven't changed. My hopes and dreams haven't changed. I'm the same person you just said was a good person. THAT IS the gay lifestyle."

Of course she didn't really understand. She spent years crying about it, but now she tells everybody that she wishes her straight daughters had the values and morals that her gay son has.

People who know and love gay people recognize that the lifestyle is no different than straight lifestyles. It is only those who CHOOSE to hate that see such a difference. If every straight person in this country shared my morals and values, we would have UTOPIA.

You don't mention a human "life mate"; If you don't have one, GET ONE!! It isn't healthy to be alone and not have anyone there for yourself.
This is the only part of the Gay Lifestyle that I don't like and would NEVER even wish on someone else.

a pal of mine, after attending a convention of a few kinds, stated something alongside the strains of: "when you're gay then all you may want to do is abstain!" observe, i have not come out yet, yet that remark nonetheless insects me. "positive. On faith, i visit willingly be on my own something else of my existence. Sorry, you're my pal, yet your concepts is narrow." If someone believe that bi/homosexuality is a decision, then "gay existence form" works in that context. not all of us thinks that's a decision, yet many do, and that is the position the idea of "gay existence form" starts. inspite of evidence of "diverse" orientations stretching back into the BC era, evidences in international mythology, international tribes (who were functioning in simple terms nice earlier the bible become invented) homo/bisexuality remains unnatural and a thoroughly evil beast that has abruptly emerged from nowhere. that's superb that it would connect our nature as a race, or that it would have some useful functionality in our society.

there is no such thing as a gay lifestyle. it's the term used by homophobes to justify their hatred. "sexual choice" is also a misnomer since there's no choice involved.
being gay is a fundamental orientation. the fact that some bigots are disgusted by it makes no difference.

I think you've answered the old question: What is the so-called "gay lifestyle" besides breakfast, lunch, dinner and normal things that everyone partakes in?

Nothing.

Youre a model citizen in my book.

Your sexual preference has nothing to do with any of that, it's a small part of you.
