I read about a midget who wanted to be an astronaut but couldn't afford a centrifuge to start training in, so he trained in a clothes dryer! it was in the Weekly World News!

If you are really interested to be an astronaut, then you shouldn't be atleast afraid of Roller Coasters. However, they don't ask for a proof of whether you have been before on a Roller Coaster. So, its fine to say yes if you have to. They won't ask you for a proof of a Six-Flag tickets or something. But you should be aware of what's a job of an astronaut and how risky sometimes it maybe. However, you should try a roller coaster. Its fun.

I don't know, but I do know that there is at least one astronaut who has publicly stated she is afraid to ride a roller coaster.

NASA recruit more than 90% of astronauts by visiting fun fairs and looking for people who hold their hands up when on scary rides. It's a fallacy that astronauts are pilots and scientists.
