I like it because I've been able to get in touch with friends I had in Jr. High, High School, College, etc. I can be silly with my sister, read hilarious blogs, and do it all without commiting myself to an actual event. Just whenever I show up. I love that about it.
Besides, who wouldn't like their own website with music and videos and all things them?
Also, by adding my favorite galleries and venues as friends, I get a heads up or special invite to events.

It's because of the subliminal messaging. And because the cool kids are doing it. And it's the latest fab. It's trendy to do it. And we need to individualize ourselves and do what all the other 80 million people are doing, only in different shades of green and with obscure rock bands on our page.

becasue belive it or not it is a good place to express yourself and meet people. I found some of my old high school friends on there that i have not seen in many many years. so its not all that bad if people use it the right way.

because you get to look at the lives of all the people you hated in high school, and laugh at how pathetically they're doing.
and you can keep in touch with people you like. it's awesome.
