I have a "ADI 1980 integrated 5.1 channel audio" Sound too low to hear?? Why is this?

Drivers are up to date, but sound is so low i can barely hear it.. even with Main Volume Max!

1) there are volume controls all over the place...in every program...win media player, etc. AND the main sound board volumn, CD volume, etc. Make sure the MUTE button has not been hit by accident. There are mute buttons on the audio board AND any program you are using for playback. IF this is all good, make sure there are NO shorts in the wires to the speakers. If all this fails, buy a new sound board...but I bet there is a mute checked somewhere. Good luck
