yeah, mine does look like me- face, skin color, black frame glasses, diamond stud earrings, i love scarves, etc.(as close as i could get it to) except i don't really do hats. hats look good on avatars :)

Depends on the person. Some people do not like their own image, so it would be what they want to look like. But the people who DO like their own image will pick what they look like. And some just mix and match real and "wanted" features.
Keep in mind that Yahoo! does not provide a lot of options, so avatars do not look exactly like the actual person.

If our Avatars looked like us 100%, I would say that everyone on Yahoo answers is related cause we all look alike. I think I would prefer using the South Park site to create my avatar. At least then we are acknowledging how unrealistic our avatars truly are.

Probably want to look like. I tried to pick mine to closely resemble me with the choices I had. It looks like me when I was younger.

LOL, The limited choices lead me to make my Avatar like I looked when I was young.

A little of both. My avatar doesn't really look like me. I do have brown hair, but it is much darker (almost black) and long, long, long. The eye color is the same, but that's really it!

Hmm. I fancied getting an avatar, yet i'd replace all of it the time reckoning on how I felt. on the instant my Akasha is merely representing the actual undeniable actuality that i'm a discomfort in the neck

Sometimes themselves.Other times their dream selves.Mine has the same skin color as me and sense of style but the hairdo is different.Depends on their mood.
