Your previous question, “---is it illogical for people to argue with me? This question may, at first glance, seem like you are being smug. Yet, you stated, “It’s NOT an ego thing on my part…”
Here you ask, “Why is it that people are sometimes so (self) satisfied?” I suppose that would depend on which definition of the word is being used. Some people are content with what they have in life and others are full of themselves. I guess it depends on the individual’s personality. Either way, some people are satisfied and some are not.
I’m not sure how you would tie the two questions together, except to say they do not follow logically from a previous premise, or statement.

Sometimes one has to satisfy oneself rather than counting on someone else to satisfy them. For instance, if I am hungry and am not at a restaurant, but am home alone, rather than wait for someone else to come home and cook for me or bring me food, I need to satisfy my own hunger by making something to eat; then I will be self-satisfied.

Do you mean self-satisfied as in helping others or bloated with pride like people who do things for attention? Wait, that may have answered the question... :-)

What is your other 'Illogical Question'?
I don't have time to track that question.
People are good at self-deception. They like to believe what gives them happiness or satisfaction. So, they try to feel self-satisfied or fake it as all women are naturally good at needing no instruction, lesson or training!

Satisfied is satitisfied. To say "so" satisfied overextends the meaning of satisfied. Satisfied should stand alone.

it could be that most people don't trust anyone else with the responsibility of satisfying them or that since they know what it takes they would rather do it themselves.

It is good to be satisfied, it makes you happy. I rather be happy than discontented.

Cause we don't have a choice either way. To be or not to be that is your question?
