I love my parents but only my mom has helped me to where I am in my life. I dont drink, I dont smoke, Im a virgin, and I dont want to date until I am ready for a serious relationship becuse my education is importatn to me right now , my mom has raised me 2 be an outstanding young adult. I am in my senior year now and now my dad wants to step in and help raise me also. But he is a little late in my life. And now he is being really strict about going places with family and friends. And he's trying to teach me what my mom has already taught me and he is being really harsh with it. And I dont want to be around him because instead of talking about happy things and my accomplishments he puts me down by saying I need to grow up ( which i am already doing ) and he always counseling me whenever Im around him........he is pushing me farther away from him. What should I do???

Say dad, I love you, but I don't enjoy our visits any more, so I'm going to wait until I'm of age to see you. If he gets mad and refuses to see you then, you are better off.

He may already see you as an adult and is getting scared of losing his little girl. This may be his way of dealing with the fear.
People sometimes react strangely to situations they can't handle.
