Whats a good punk/emo band other than the obvious like Greenday, Blink 182, FOB, P!ATD, NOFX, Distillers, Horrorpops, Bad Religion, The Clash, The Doors, Yellowcard, MxPx, and the Red Jump Suit Apparatus etc.
Eventhough some of those aren'tthat good.

Hmm... let's see:
Rise Against is pretty good, for some modern hardcore punk. For some good classic punk, listen to the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, and Minor Threat--you can't really go wrong. As for emo, Fugazi is great, and Rites of Spring works too.
Oh, and by the way, Bad Religion, and the Doors are awesome!

Theres alot of other bands but the main one has got to be Avenged Sevenfold They are one of the best bands ever!! They can be hardcore metal and then reg rock. Theyre a cross between acdc and guns n roses (u know, the good rock bands) they have kickass guitarists and a damn good vocalist that really takes his voice to the limit. They rock hard and theyre one great band. Then theres 3 days grace which are pretty good when ur pissed,Takin back sunday(really good to listen to when bored it gets ya in the mood to rock) my chemical romance(Fun to lip sing with), papa roach(I really like rockin to them they get u pumped up), sum 41(These guys really make you feel punk), seether(you can listen to at any mood), and korn(good band to bang ur head at). These are all pretty good bands you might like uve probably heard of some or even all but just wanted to give sum suggestions. ROCK ON

Hawthorne Heights, Taking Back Sunday, AFI, Billy Talent, Thursday, Unwritten Law, Rise Against, and Saves The Day are just a few i can name off the top of my head. if u need any others, just email me or something, cuz i have a ton of music (7500 songs) so i guerntee i can find something u'll like
