Prove it. Make yourself a demo and start spreading it around. Go to a few Hip Hop websites and post some of your stuff in there and hope for the best. You'll never know unless you try.
If you really want to make it big, just find yourself a bangin' club beat talk about girls and riches and throw a few "izzle" words in the mix. You got yourself a certified club hit. That's only if you want to go the way of the garbage rapper you hear on the radio though.

I hope not because there are already more than enough rappers in this world. We do need a good, memorable rock band nowadays (please don't say Green Day or All American Rejects because I will hunt you down). There hasn't been any real groundbreaking group since Nirvana. So pick up a guitar and give that a try.

That depends on your lyrics, and your talent. Maybe if you had showed us some of your music, I would be able to tell you better. but I say go for it. You have nothing to lose if you don't succed.
