There was a very famous singer and actress that we all loved .Her name was "Leila Mourad" She passed away a few years ago . Also Omar Shareif was a jew but converted to marry his beloved

Though only few decades ago, there were few thousands of Egyptian Jews in Egypt. Nowadays around 200 still live in Egypt. There is a synagogue service on Saturdays at downtown serving them.

Egyptian Jews played a very significant role in Egypt's modern history, particularly in movie industry and in economy in general.

And they say the Israelis are racist! They have nothing on the Muslim and Arab world! Mind you the Jews have been told by God to stay out of Egypt, God has told them they will never fare well in Egypt and as Gods word is true, we can see that He is right.
Jews, KEEP OUT OF EGYPT, Come back to Israel.

Yes there are ... but very few .. They used to live in a place called " 7aret el yahood " (the alley of jews) ... and there's a jewish temple down town ...
i think the arab-israeli conflict makes it very hard for jews to live in egypt ... that's just how is it.

Very very few. May be less 100 or so. They used to be much more until 1950's

yes, an aging population though, most left in 1956, now they have trouble holding funeral services and they can not easily find the necessary 10 males.
