elitch gardens was a flower and garden sanctuary with live entertainment in the 40's, later in the fifties at 38th Ave and Tennyson Street, at the east end of the Gardens, they added rides and amusements, was torn down and a few original rides were taken but later replaced at Six Flags location off of Speer Blvd. Where it stands now.

I've lived in Colorado all my life. And yes I miss the old location of Elitches, it seemed it was more organized and better rides. I was mad when they moved it by Envesco Field. Now since it's 6 Flags it seems to commercialized.
