Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex.
It goes into several themes including Identity, the limits and nature of the soul, the morals of cyber-augmentation, the definition of life all sorts of deep stuff and it's damn entertaining to boot....
Evangelion is also another good one....

Sorry I don't know "planete sauvage" but you might want to cheak out Hayio Miazaki's films. They are for kids but have tons of depth in them also try The Adventures of Tom Thumb. Defiantly NOT for kids.
It might sound daft but have you ever seen Sponge-bob Square-pants? It's actually quite surreal (but not very deep though!). Belle and Sebattian was a great cartoon. It was a plutonic love story, how rare, which was on the bbc (I think) in the 80's.
Hope you find some good stuff to watch.

Neon Genesis Evangelion. Anime series that deals with how the main character views himself compared to how others view him. FYI - starts off with alot of action (giant robots battling monsters) but story solidifies into something more as the series progresses.
