I'm working on a book about emergency preparedness. Personally, it is my opinion that, at *all* levels of government, if a truly huge disaster strikes, we won't be ready. And evidence suggests the scale of disasters will keep increasing; the resources to respond to them will lag behind. That is why I feel it is important for everyone to do what they can to be prepared for emergencies, and why I want to write the book.
