I have an '03 Cobra and had to take to service king for a quarter panel repair. 4 and a half weeks later I discover my car had been totaled while in the shop (mechanics went street racing and lost control). Parted several cars to repair mine and passed it off as if nothing had ever happened. Need help! Anyone heard of this or experienced in this area.

You need to get a lawyer and sue the shop for the loss of value, and for fraud. If there was frame / unibody damage the car is worth a whole lot less now than it was before.

How do you know this happened?? You're gonna need the witnesses. Got pictures of the damage you originally put the car into the shop for? Got the estimate paperwork they made out prior to the repairs you asked to be done?? If inspected by the police....they will find that the damages don't match the estimates and are much more extensive. If there was an accident with the car....was there a police report made at the time they wrecked your car?? Bring in the lawyers and start picking out the color of your new one!!

1st Check to see if there was a police report made about an accident with your car from the body shop. 2nd and most important, get yourself a good lawyer and get as much proof as you can about the workers driving and racing and wrecking your car. Do not accept the car as is. Demand a new 07 car for replacement or you will be the newest owner of service king! A small price to pay for them abusing your car. remeber, refuse any offers they make until you consult a very very good lawyer!!
Good Luck

Call the police and if you can prove it, charge them with stealing the original parts off your car. The state will most likely send an inspector to check all the numbers on your car, and if they don't match, he'll be your best witness.
