Gay or straight we each should have the right to "marry" and be with someone we love. We dont chose to be gay, trust me...do you know anyone who would chose to be called names, have things thrown at them, men and women alike gawking, snickering and then laughing at us. We are ALL part of nature and for some unknown reason nature has made GAY people, let us have the same rights as you. We can look back on history and see the same thing with blacks, Jews, etc...

Maybe I should rephase this because Im still getting the ignorant people answering this question. First of all it is the same as "the black" or "Jewish" thing its called persecution(sp) for ones beleif weather it is god or the color of your skin or sexual orientation. The bible is a book, that is all it is translated over thousands and thousands of years, things added to it, to what individuals thought should be added to it claiming it was the "word" of some phophet. Back when it was written there was not paper it survived by word of mouth. If you take 10 people in a room whisper something in their ear, by the time it gets back to you it is totally not what you said, try it sometime it works...so dont preach the bible to me! I do believe in god, just not the same one as some of you.

The majority of the straight population is repulsed by us gay and lesbians because we are considered "different". We are the same as the other people, we look the same, we eat, drink, sleep, and work just like the rest of the population. And some gays and lesbians do save lives, so until a situation should come up in a matter of life and death, and a gay or lesbian should save your life, you will have a "different" opinion of us people
I go by the saying "You laugh at me because I am different, I laugh at you because you are all the same"

Bible does not tolerate it. I can live among gay people, in fact I do. I just keep my mouth shut because what is going on is none of my business and I am not going to sit around sweating what goes on in other peoples homes . I have enough stress in my life. I dont laugh at gay people. I dont think it is funny and quite frankly most of them are nice. I just dont think it is right to be able to marry anyone that is not the opposite sex, or your sister.
So dont feel like the world is excluding you, just some people are and if it dosent bother you, dont let it effect you. You are one of gods creatures. I dont believe you were born gay I think it has to do with hormones. Not everyone can have everything they want. Marriage is just a commitment and if you are committed to someone that is the same thing. God istituted marriage for man and wife. The law until now has reconiged that, it may change.

That's a tough question.
I don't have a lot of demands of straight people. I don't care who they sleep with, in what position, or what the outcome is. And I believe that MOST straight people feel the same way as me, as long as I'm not sleeping with their brother, son, father, etc.
The political right (which has kidnapped the Religous right) has demands of me. They call me names, wish me death, and want to take away my relationship with a loving God. When that happens, we have a battle. They tend to use statistics that would show that most Americans don't think we should have the right to marry, or that we should even exist. But the fact of the matter is most Americans have a live and let live attitude, and the questions in a survey with leading answers give pole results that show that many more people are concerned about gay America's business than reality would prove out.

You cant place the gay thing in the same category as the blacks and jews category, thos are totally different situations. Being gay is immoral, and as much as ppl say that they dont choose to be, its hard to believe. Just to let you know, God doesn't want ppl living like that. I know, the truth hurts. I dont mean to be mean but u cant do that. n e way , u probably dont want to listen to me coz am against it all .

I completely agree. And as for the Bible pushers, I think they should stay out of this question. They are more of a problem than we gays, lesbians, and bi-sexuals. Haven't you ever seen what happens to Christians? We get the same treatment, just...harsher. That Bible of theirs says to not judge, but what are they doing? JUDGING....I think we oughta have the same rights as straights. We're all human, so why should they let sexuality bother them? It just irks me to see people judging others so harshly.

What do you mean that you don't chose to be gay. Sorry but is it your choice to be that way .Did you ever think that you just haven't found the right person of the other sex to be with. I'm a women and I think other women are sweet and beautiful . But that doesn't mean that I'm going to let that mess with where I'm going to spend a eternity. I love every one. As a Christan I'm not here to judge but to point out what the Bible say,and it say that it wrong to be gay.And it say you will not go to Heaven . But the good news is that you can ask Christ Jesus in to your heart and ask Him to forgive you and he will ,BUT you must STOP doing what you have asks forgiveness for. Are you willing to go to hell for that sin. If you are than I'm not going to judge you for it. I have said what the Lord asked me to say. Now it up to you.

Prejudice is prejudice, use of bronze age religious scriptures are routine. Scripture was used to excuse and support slavery (there are more pro slavery verses than there are anti-gay ones ) and then to support segregation, to condemn the Jewish people and faith -- you are correct.
Someday perhaps we will tolerate everyone. For now we must just keep struggling just as everyone else has.
Don't hesitate to email me if you need to.

Unfortunately fear and ignorance clouds the minds of many people. If people would take the time to do the research or just learn to accept people for who they are, we'd be in a lot better world

The heterosexual fundamentalists are too ignorant to do so.
I overheard someone else say that "...gay people are a threat to the sanctity of marrage, with the heterosexuals becoming seperated and even divorced, the gays are probably going to get it right".
