Is Elvis still alive? Let a guy from "Mempho" tell you....
Every year in early August, on the anniversary of his death, there is an "Elvis WEEK"....that's right, a week of commemorating that hot humid afternoon that he was wheeled to the hospital, already gone. People come from all over the WORLD for this.
It all wraps up with a "Candlelight Vigil" on the lawn of Graceland, and the next morning you'll see a half-page color photo in the Memphis newspaper of some person holding a candle with tears streaming down their face.
He may be dead, but he's not going away.

No. He is dead in his grave, but his music lives in the hearts of his fans and relatives such as Priscilla Presley and Lisa Marie Presley.
He would not be popular now because he would be around 80 years old, and girls wouldn't scream and faint away at his presence, but he is alive as long as people listen to his music and collect his memorabilia.
