I resent paying over the top prices at local/corner shops for item that costs so much cheaper everywhere else. For example 1 packet of pocket tissues cost 75p, but 99p shop had 12 packets for .......99p - and they were the same brand!!!

I don't mind paying my tax & insurance but I hate the thought of where some of it goes. When I see young, unemployed single mothers with 3 or 4 children to different dads getting their hair & nails done walking round in their designer clothes, payed for by their welfare benefit, I feel very hard done by. They sit on their pretty little asses all day & go & sign on once every 2 weeks & my tax gets put straight into their bank accounts. They don't even have to get off their backside & collect it from the post office any more. I resent having to go out to work for 50 hours a week, working my fingers to the bone & I can't afford to get my hair & nails done or buy new clothes cos I'm paying to keep someone elses kids.

Insurance. All insurance should be based on usage, for example, if one pays into an account for 10 years and never uses it, they should be entitled to a refund of sorts for being safe and healthy. Most people never use any of their insurance and most pay into for a lifetime. Ever wonder how much money the insurance companies really make?

Parking the damn car ..... parking fees are becoming a joke. It seems to me that they raise more capital to manage the system, enforce the system and increase the system. There is also the suggestion that it reduces council taxes. Recently for twenty minutes parking in Eastbourne ( 2 different locations ) it cost me £3.70. We may have freedom in this country but sometimes I wonder just how much we do.

Too many taxes! Gasoline tax, phone taxes/charges, sales tax, state taxes, federal taxes, estate taxes, property taxes, social security taxes, internet service taxes/ fees, etc!
I realize that societies require a certain amount of taxation, but it is egregious when those taxes are squandered/used foolishly, used for something other than what they were earmarked for, viewed as an entitlement to be increased regularly, and used to support able-bodied people who need the benefits and dignity of providing for themselves.
Taxes are sacred funds which are to be used for the benefit of society. Those elected to administer these monies should exercise restraint, wisdom, and care when making expenditures.
P.S. I also dislike having to pay for drinking water when we already pay our municipalities to provide water services, but what they would have us drink is filled with impurities!

School Tax. I pay property tax already, and I don't have any kids. It is ridiculous for me to pay to educate my neighbor's children and still have to put up with them vandalizing properties in the neighborhood.

Yearly auto taxes.
I figure since I purchased the car, I paid taxes then, I shouldn't have to pay more each year on something that I own.
Just my opinion.
