I did not have sex with him. I was young and could not go that far although I realized
it still was an affair.

absolutely not inappropriate. If you have contact with him send the card. He may need a distraction from his grief, and your card may help him. Either way, sending the card is thoughtful. BTW, i'd be curious why, when, etc...40 yrs ago. marks3kids@yahoo.com Good luck

Did you have an affair with him or the wife? I would probably just let it go. The only reason for contact would be the hope that you could get together again.

I dont think is bad.... just to send a card and let him know that you feel bad for his lost... and it was so long ago... i really dont see nothing wrong with it is a matter of fact i think is very nice of you that you feel bad for him.. so go ahead and keep the card simple just a few lines to express your condolences and your respects and sign it that is it. good luck.

I would'nt go there sister. You don't know who could pick up that card. A child or sibling.... don't take the chance.
