Some people are so ignorant and rude, there is no reasoning with them. If you met these people face to face it would be a different story as they would have nothing to hide behind.
I always try and see the best in people but here, somehow it can bring out the worst in them.
I give as good as I get, in life and on answers. If I believe in something I wont act all prissy just so people will like me. I would rather people knew where I stand on issues, that doesn't make me a *****, or does it LOL.

Actually, I try to be nicer than I can be when I'm just tossing off words and not taking the time to type them.
I think the "something" you are referring to is the fact you can't *see* the person you're hurting. One of the basic rules of 'netiquette is to remember the person behind the screen. That can be very hard to do sometimes.
Of course, there are people who tick me off. I had to work pretty hard not long ago to stay within the Rules of Conduct and still say what I wanted to a Neo-Nazi who posted his garbage on here.

hunni, i don't start with people unless they cross the line with me first. As you know some people on here totally crossed the line a few nights ago when they invaded my privacy. and i will argue and stick up for myself in those cases, otherwise i am tired of the idiots on here trying to be rude. i am a nice person until my kids are brought into something that does not involve them and the same with my husband. if they have a prob with me then they shod deal with me and not resort to juvenile games, like leaving rude comments on my questions.....

The internet brings out your true self, so if your rude on here, you have a mean spirit and when you meet people in person they are only seeing what you want them to see, its not your true self.

I'm a pretty nice person and try to give good and decent advice. If the question is stupid or a no brainer then I give them a stupid, b*tchy answer.

People think that I'm bitchy sometimes, but it's just because I like to speak my mind. I don't see the point in keeping my opinions to myself simply because others might not agree with me. People have fought with me online over ridiculous things that I know they would never say in person, but I don't find myself to be too different.

I don't think I've ever been mean to anyone on here. It's just not in my personality to be mean. Even when I'm hiding behind an avatar, I still can't hurt someone elses feelings. :o)

I'm the same way....maybe since we know we'll never meet any of these people, we let our inhibitions down & say the things we wish we could say all the time.
