I distinctly remember that we did not have much of a domestic policy. Daddy Bush was very much concerned w/foreign policy. Under his administration, US companies were in the throes of downsizing. Things were bad for a long while. So many US workers were unemployed and when their unemployment benefits ran-out, they were still without jobs and without proper unemployment compensation. I remember. It took an act of congress (literally and figuratively) to get Daddy Bush to sign the extensions to unemployment compensation into law. He did not want to do it and resented being made to take care of US citizens! Good luck to you on your paper, 'cause you're going to be writing a long,long while about Daddy Bush! He was a horrible president!

Every policy this man ever had was token in nature. The guy was a narcissist with an insecurity complex. His mission in life was to have people say only nice things about himself and his family. He yearned to liked by one and all and could not understand how anyone could criticize his idiosyncrasies. He would have been riding on Reagan's coat tails during his insignificant tenure, so now you know his policies!

Search for the Bush Presidential Library they should have information about his presidency.. Why did you wait so long to start?

He was roundly criticised for not having a vision, or plan. He called it "The vision thing." Political catoonists, particularly Toles, had a ball.
