I sang at a party karaoke, why does it seem like a big mistake now?

In front of family and friends, i did quite well, however half the room of guest who didnt know me werent clapping.

Karaoke isn't about pleasing the crowd, its about getting the guts up to sing as only your shower hears you.

I sing karaoke just because of the fact that I am scared to death of it. I don't care if they like it or not. I'm having fun. Two nights ago I went to some honkeytonk where they were just singing old Patsy Kline tunes and decided I would sing a death metal song. It was great watching the entire bar come to a screeching halt.

Just have fun, don't worry about what other people think.

I would never ever get up and sing on karaoke. not until im pissed anyway. Dont let it worry you, we all do it and the people who dont clap are annoyed that they are not having as much fun as you.

I can tell you that everyone feels that way after a song.
