I'm very different from my wife and we have been married for almost fifteen years. She's smart, makes a lot of money, has a very important job, and she is extremely funny. I'm considered bright, not very educated ( I dropped out of college), retired early from civil service and have a decent job now, have a strange sense of humor, and do not share the same likes as her.
She loves all kinds of seafood and I can't stand seafood, she hates the music I listen to, we don't like the same movies, don't read the same books, and often have different ideas on where to take a vacation. But, after almost fifteen years of marriage, we are still deeply in love, have two amazing children, and have a beautiful home (I let her decorate). Yes, opposites attract, and they fall in love and have wonderful lives together.

The reason why opposites do attract, is usually the opposite person has something different and interesting in their lifes such as a different career, a hobby or perhaps a percular way they faceually look.
The realtionship can be a solid as a realtionship with someone that you something in common with, it all depends on how you two are together and whether the interests do not become too over-boring or the lifestyles changes become to inter-changing!

Ok, my husband is black and I am white, he is from Jamaica and I am from USA. He likes horse racing, I can not stand it. I likes Courttv, I like Lifetime. The point of the matter is that we all are going to have different hobbies and likes. There has to be a physical attraction and some common interests. Like we both are passionate about reggae music and jamaica. We both like the same food, and have the same views on different world issues. If you and I was the same, our lives would be bland. Their would not be any vary. Like if everyone was white, blue eyed and blonde. What! Oh my, it would be a very boring world. Opposites do attract! You can not help who your heart loves. Do not put your mate on a scale. Follow your heart!

With that said, though, they don't make the best marriage partners. I had an 8-year relationship with a man and we were like night and day. I'm a home-body and he was a partier. I did notice that I calmed him a little and he brought me out of my shell a little, but not enough to make it matter. I didn't fit in with his group of friends or he with mine. Soon we were going our own ways and rarely spent time together. Eventually, it was over--he went back to spending all his time in bars hitting on every woman he saw, and I went back to my quiet existence. We were together much too long.

I definitiely believe that opposites attract-although i do think its good to have some common ground-something you both know about and can discuss.I'm totally different to my guy-he's quite quiet wheras i'm a loud mouth but he's a good influence on me. if you love each other you must have things in common.

Opposites dont attract. how can you think opposites like wealthy-poor, handsome- ugly, strong-weak, educated-illitrate, sophisticted-illmannered etc can ever attract. Attracting opposite may happen in a case, if you have a bad experience of your own or some one in your family of apparently very likeminded couple, falling out.

hi i dont think its opposits that attract i think its the men who chase the women and the other way round its there way of letting there mates think they can attract the opposite sex that works both ways
