I have heard some conspiracies that he is still alive, that he just faked his own death to avoid jail and spend his stolen millions. They creamated him pretty fast, makes you wonder..........

No, Kenneth Lay faked his death to avoid a prison sentence.
Makes sense, doesn't it?
Actually, if you call wasting your existence on the pursuit of material wealth at the expense of other people "perfect", I'm a little worried about your value system.

I would say he was comfortable, sure. Extremely comfortable. But the only way he was at peace was if he was as evil as many of us believe him to be.
Any life spent harming others directly for your own gain and no other purpose is no life worth living, no matter how much money is in it.

sure seems like it to me, from the outside looking in and everything i've read, that Lay lived a life of power and luxury and in the end, gets away with it all, but you know what they say, don't compare your inside with someone else's outside.

Well somebody would have to have given him this assumed identity! It would be harder for him to travel, given the whole 9/11 incident and climate towards identity and security. He's dead.

He died at 64...regardless of his deception and underhanded tactics concerning Enron, I don't think he would've wished to die that young.
