Halloween! It has always been my favorite. My favorite as a kid was the year my mom dressed as a witch, and Dad as a mummy. They had gotten some dry ice and Mom would drop icky stuff in to her cauldron and reach in and pull out candy. Dad hid at the back of the porch and would "rise from the dead" out of his homemade sarcophagus. We had our route planned out every year; next door gave apples, the old farmer couple down the street-homemade cookies, the Avon lady across the street-popcorn balls, the lady 2 blocks down was the weirdo who gave out either mini toothpaste or religious pencils, her neighbor- full size candy bars... Now that I have a child of my own its twice the fun. We can now do family theme costumes (last year she was thing 1 and I was thing 2, Daddy was going to be The cat in the hat, but got sick)and I get to go trick or treating all over again.

Christmas! I love the beauty of the snow, lights, trees, and how friendly and hospital people become when people are shopping and caroling. The Christmas music brings good cheer to everyone, at least I hope...
The sad thing is, when the season ends, so does the holiday spirit in people..

THANKSGIVING cause your whole family gets together and eats and visits and watches ball games and has a great old time without the hassle of shopping for gifts and trying to find enough money to buy those gift or going into debt. It's a holiday to just be together and enjoy. And the season is awsome.

Wow, it's been either Christmas or Halloween so far. And St. Patrick's Day.
I like Canada Day. My family doesn't *seriously* celebrate Christmas (so we don't usually get many presents) nor do I still go trick or treating (or give out candy, because we live in a condo). Canada Day gives me a chance to go out, see fireworks, and there's just a lot of other activities going on.

I would have to say Easter. It is a new start of spring. I love the smell of spring and the feeling that it brings. The people who love Halloween because of the candy well at Easter the Easter Bunny brings candy as well (smile). I also love to cook Easter dinner and have family and friends over.

Christmas, becuase the fun actually last for more than a day. Not only is it God's birthday, but you get to spend time with your family (looking at christmas decorations, baking cookies, opening presents, ect.) You also get a winter vacation too..which means no school! yay :)
