I remember Time after Time, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and the Goonies Theme Song. She was huge for about 2 or 3 years. If the Beatles are in group A, I'd put Cyndi in group C. I really like/d her music -- just didn't have a lot of staying power.

Well the main reason she is not in the R&R Hall of Fame is because she is not eligible yet. To be eligible, it must be at least 25 years since the artist's first full album was released. It has only been 23 for Cyndi.
I like her a lot. I have a few of her albums. She's obviously not in the "A" category that you mentioned, but I think she and songs like Girls Just Want To Have Fun and Time After Time will always be remembered

I would, first of all, never group Elvis, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson in the same group. The Beatles and Elvis each deserve a grouping of their own. :o)
I love Cyndi Lauper too. I remember being in high school and seeing an MTV Special on her and wanting to be just like her. I don't think she's as popular anymore as she used to be though. I would put her in a Group C, only that much further down because she didn't have as many hit songs as a lot of other artists of her time and genre.
I can't choose just one favorite by her, so I'll pick two:
1. "Girls Just Want To Have Fun"
2. "Time After Time"

Oh wow I love Cyndi Lauper...she probably is not in the rock and roll hall of fame because maybe she turned it down? There's some singers that actually turned down to be in rock and roll hall of fame or maybe she wasn't a rock and roll singer long enough to be on the hall of fame!

No labels. Cyndi is human. She pursued a dream, which became a reality. Even though short lived, she did have memorable songs.
