I am going to base my answer on this car being a front wheel drive. I would suggest a reputable mechanicl do it because getting to the hub bearings requires special tools.

Buy a handbook and the proper tools. This is NOT a major operation as the bearings are one piece units that are mated to the hubs. Hint: do only ONE side at a time -- the second one will take half as long and if you really screw up putting it back together, you still have one intact that you can use as a guide! The bearing/hubs are quite expensive (appx $270.00 each from GM) so check for aftermarket units first. One more hint -- get a second opinion. Bearing failure usually only occurs on one side or another and will make CONSTANT noise, not just left handers..(?)

Well, if you aren't very comfortable with your ability to do the job, I wouldn't. This is one of those safety considerations, if it isn't done right it can fail and lead to an accident. If the bearing should fail you could lose a wheel, makes it very hard to steer without one. So, yes you can, providing you are confident in your ability.

You would need tools for pulling the seals and putting new ones back in. If you feel comfortable doing that, you may try it, but I would suggest that you buy the parts and seek out professional help putting them in.
