Why is it the French can have national pride, the Polish, English German, Italians, Brazilians, Argentines and Aussies, Russians, Japanese etc can too...but when Americans have pride you all call us arrogant?
Please no bashing I know our "team" sucked, I truly want to understand the difference.

I think because America pretty much controls the internet. They see people from the U.S. post their pride all over the place constantly. A lot of which seems quite arrogant. It probably also doesn't help that the main person representing the country is the most stubborn arrogant person of all..

The overwhelming majority of people who care about the world cup in the U.S. are foreign anyway. Americans aren't very big on the sport.
