It is certainly worth more than face value if truly misprinted. Take it to a coin shop. Protect it carefully.

A genuine misprint can be worth quite a bit. However, its value will also depend upon just how many of the misprinted items are still in circulation or have already been "collected". For example, the current "colorized" $10 bill has a misprinted Series Date of 2004 (even though the bills were not issued until well into 2005).
First things first: check for the watermark and security thread which are the two easiest means of checking the authenticity of the bill, and if they are both present then you'd want to think about taking the bill to a reputable dealer to get an appraisal.
Keep in mind, there may not be much (if any) value above and beyond the face value for the bill, as currency does not normally increase in value except over the long haul.

that's not seen a misprint. The expenses are revealed in super sheets and the sheets are cut back to chop up the guy expenses. often times the cuts are not precisely interior the middle between the expenses. those are well worth face fee. creditors will pay better than face fee if a number of the rather invoice layout has been cut back off yet a number of the invoice layout must be lacking. fee relies upon on many components.

You can look online. You can have it appraised. But make sure that it stays in full view so no one can rip you off. If it truely is a mis-print, get a safe deposit box, stick it in there and forget about it. It will be worth more later on. Anyone will try to buy it cheaper now and do the same thing. We have a lot of coins that are worth lots of $$$ cuz we just tucked them away and forgot about them. Good Luck.

Take it to any banks main branch. They will research and tell you what 'you have' and if it is worth something. You may do the same with foreign currency; but you must go to a bank's main branch. Foreign currency may be exchanged for US Dollars. ~just as an addendum to your question.

It either is worth a bundle or it is a fake and worth 1 to 9 years in a federal penitentiary.
