DO NOT KILL THEM!!

Why you scream? Because your killing a tiny number of them, the queen will be making many thousands more each day. The thing to do is pop to Tescos and they have these ant killers. No not the ones that kill on contact, the slow ones. They have some little traps you put down, the worker ants walk through them and wander back to the queen and pass the poison onto her.

Days later the queen dies, along with all other ants who came into contact with those workers and they all die off. Kill them at the source.

Slow poison, thats the key.

I had this problem for 5 years, I used to dread summer! I tried the traps and the sprays, the solution for me was to get a plug in insect killer, they send out sonic waves and the ants either don`t come in or if they are in, they go! I didn`t have any inside last year and touch wood, I haven`t had any this year! There is a type that is especially for ants and other insects.

Cheap and easy. 20 Mule Team Borax laundry soap. Put the dry soap in one of the ketchup squirt bottles that you can pick up at a dollar store, apply dry soap around baseboards, kitchen cabinets, anywhere you see the ants, leave out for a few days until you no longer see any signs of the ants, vacuum up remaining soap, and use the rest of the box to do laundry with. I have used this for years, your total cost should be five bucks or under. The ants carry the borax back to their nest and it will kill them.

Get to the root of the problem first. What is causing the ants to infest in your home? Do you leave food lying around?

Depending on where it is and how bad it is.
There are lots of things you can get from b&q to get rid of ants, so go get some and give it a go.
When we lived in Cyprus we were infested big style and it takes some time to get rid of the buggers but don't give up just keep trying and they will eventually go.
Good Luck

First find out what type of ant you have...There is home remedies that you can use to get rid of this problem. Do not ever put out any type of poison where your children or pets can get into it doesn't matter if they say it is child/pet safe or not.

You can also call your local Agriculture Office.

Nippon ant killer is excelent, a couple of small drops where you find their entry point to the house and they will be gone in a couple of days.
I myself have used it and was surprised at how well it works.
