Nothing against Nadal, but it was great to see Federer win. He has joined the likes of Sampras and Borg at Wimbledon. It's good that he maintained the grass-court streak too. Most importantly, it got the monkey of his back. A fifth straight loss to Nadal (on grass especially) would have really raised some questions as to Federer's place in the game. Still, you are right. It was a great match. A lot closer than many would have thought.

It was a great match. Nadal definitely has a future at Wimbledon. This sounds kind of corny, but I'm really proud of both of them. Roger, for winning again, and Rafa for making such a great run when he's so inexperienced on grass. I loved their low-five after the match. And, "I'm liking the rivalry a little more today"? Hee.

Congrats to Fed. He deserves it, in the record books now, although it would have been nice to have won in straight sets, no losses, but can't complain. I think once Rafael gets he feet under him on grass, he's gonna be a force to be reckoned with. Unless Roger amps it up on clay, there's a very good chance he will not be #1 by this time next year. But I think Roger's still got a few good years left in him yet. It's great that they're both so casual about the rivalry going on between them. Not like some rabid tennis fans out there...

i LOVE nadal i almost cried at the end but I'm soo happy so for Nadal he did awesome... i answered soooo many Federer/Nadal questions last week (hopeing Nadal would win)...and I'm sad to so say my man Nadal didn't win...but that's only because he was on grass but i still believe he will have a great future on grass later on plus in overall matches Federer still loses to Nadal...haha...lol

I'm surprised that Nadal played in the finals, I thought Baghdatis would take hime out, but surely he played great tennis, and duked it out with the great Federer in the finals.
Great rivalry since Sampras and Agassi.

I was happy that Nadal showed that he was still alive in the 3rd set.
