Yesterday, I was eating really hot soup and now today my tongue feels really "prickly?" and irritating. Is there a way to stop it?

the tongue is a marvellous muscle which is so rich in blood supply that it will heal itself very quickly, although it may be sore for a while.
Tepid salt water washes may help, although I suggest lots of cool water.
And take care with the soup!

surely a a million dumbness score i do it on soup, warm tea, cappucino etc.. it purely is so tempting and yummy you want it promptly. plus soup flavor strong warm and prefer @#^ chilly so obviously you want it warm. see you later as you didnt burn each and each and every of the flavor buds so that you'll be able to easily flavor the soup attempt to be strong mi amiga :) Blow on it next time ;)

Wait until it goes, but you could try eating ice cream in the meantime to help ease the pain :)

Well, you can keep cold water in your mouth, to reduce pain.
It will take some time for it to get back normal.
