Let him be himself and never try to change him - A spouse for some crazy reason will stay a life time with someone who will not let them be themselves - They are miserable and bitter and hate life - but still do not a clue a why - Because in their minds they think this is what you do - stay married - through thick and thin - Back on track here..
You really don't have to do a thing unless asked - just be supportive, and you do what you want to do and let him do the same.

I would say the most important thing you can do to keep your husband happy is to have a healthy and vigorous sex life. So much unhappiness and ultimately cheating comes from husbands who (and even wives) who aren't getting enough sex in their relationships.

You cannot do that. Everybody is responsible for their own happiness and if you are only thinking of his happiness you sell yourself short. just be his best friend and love and respect him for who he is and support him and stimulate him to be who he wants to be like he should also do for you.
