I uploaded two Cake songs into iTunes that were automatically placed in two genres. First Native American... HAHAHA sounds like a bug in the software! Second was Alternative. If I had to pick, I'd vote for the second one. :)

They are alternative rock. They don't get any air play on the hard rock or top 40 stations in Sacramento. They aren't the garden variety of "rock" (Stone Temple Pilots for instance) either so, alternative would be the best category.
