I went to Cancun back in early May (April 29-May 6). Its pretty hot down there. They have mostly american restaurants but they serve mexican food in places. Go to Chichen Itza or some of the ruins, hit the beaches.
Lol it was fun for me, but if your into Bullfights try to go to one.

There are some great taco restaurants about 5-6 blocks west of 5th ave, the main drag, that only the Mexicans eat at that are great and cheap. Dont remember there names but they are always busy so easy to find.

Burritos, Quesadillas, Fajitas.. need I say more. You are so lucky to have the chance to go south of the border. Enjoy yourself and learn a whole new experience. Also, don't drink the tap water. Always buy it.

been there, was on a cruise so only had lunch. it was at one of the hotels near the ship docks though, very good, i had quesdillas. i have 300 pesos left over, do you want them? will send to you if you do. i think the exchange rate on it is something like $26.00 american dollars. it will buy you a lot of souviners (Mexico is pretty cheap). let me know.
