When too much light is used under low power, what happens to the stained bacterial specimen?

Nothing happens to the specimen if you use too much light. however, if there is too much or too little light, you wont be able to accurately see and evaluate the bacteria. also, you want to lower the amount of light when you switch to high power or oil emersion.
