Hi,
When you go back to when they went to the moon I would reply with a Yes. They had a secret that time which later they did reveal.
So, they might also have secrets now! I think they have ... not exact a secret but hidden information they don't provide to everyone...
Thier secret at the time of landing on the moon was that they found strange flying objects on the moon.

NASA does work for the military, so some aspects of that are certainly secret.
Scientific data, such as from the Hubble Space Telescope, initially belongs exclusively to the principal investigator, that is, the person who designed the particular observation or experiment. After a period of time, the raw scientific data are made available to all.

Yes. For example, they don't want you to know how badly they treated Roger Boisjoly after the Challenger accident. And they don't want you to know how many Affirmative Action employees they were required to hire...and then pay for doing nothing except, once in a while, passing in parade in front of a TV camera while carrying "papers" and trying to look smart.
