the inflammation of the bite makes your skin stretch. Just like when you're sleeping and you wake up with those line on you from fold in your blanket or clothes, they itch, because your skin is going back to normal...the bite itches because your skin is sweeling and to accomodate you scratch it, which has no affect on the itch itself, but it is another stimulus that your body responds to...

When a mosquito bites your skin has an antihistamine that reacts when the mosquito bites. Therefore, that makes your skin itch. Like poison ivy, your skin has an antihistamine and if you touch or rub it put vodka on it and you get a rash or itch

its something that they put into you, but i read somewhere that if you let a mosquito finish biting you, its going to take out w/e it put into you and take it back out. the reason why it itches is because we see the mosquito and we're already trying to kill it, and then the bug goes away leaving w/e they were going to take back out, but its already 2 late, and we start itching.

HAHAHA.. actually they don't " spit" its when they pierce your skin there is a liquid to help draw out the blood that makes it itchy..
