Oaky. Waxing hurts, but your hair is gone for like two-three weeks.. It depends on what you're waxing. Lower legs isn't that bad the upper thigh hurts a litle bit, brazilian wax HURTS! Any tye of bikini waxing hurts, under arms hurt and if you do our arms it doesn't hurt that much. Sally Henson wax is pretty good ( the kind you warm up) and if it's for your bikini line then there is wax called naughty nads that's good. My suggestion is to get it done by a professional because it really does seem less painful, it doesn't take as long, and they don't miss anything.

Not too painful on the legs but sensitive around the back of the knees! Having your eyebrows waxed is the worse! Would go to a professional rather than buy the wax kits as they don't work as well. I have found that the more you wax the less the hair does grow.

It depends on your pain thershold it kinda feels like pulling a plaster off really fast i would recommend having it done professionally as u don't hav to worry bout ripping the strip off urself and its fast . Personally i found waxing painful at first, the first time i had it was last yr cos i was learning it at college but now ive done it loads of times i can do it myself infact today i did my legs and bikini line and it was all quite pain free!
top tips:
its more painful when ur on ur period so avoid this time of the month.
some ppl find taking asprin before hand helps numb the pain
if your going for a brazilian or bikini wax trim the hair down to a minimum of 1 cm b4 hand if its too long you may get a double pull oww!
always exfoliate between waxes 2 avoid ingrown hairs
whilst waxing make sure the skin is pulled taught for less pain and to avoid brusing.

Go for it! maybe you should go to a salon if it's your 1st time. I always wax myself and it's only a bit painful (most women have experienced much more pain in their lives !). I have read that drinking coffee before waxing numbs the pain (thanks to the caffeine). I have tried but can't really tell the difference. Yes hair grows thiner after times and you don't have the "stubble" effect when it grows again. Definitely worth it!! Most brands are fine. It seems that the ones you stick in the microwave are a bit more effective (be careful with heat) or you can add hot hoter to some (easier , safer but a bit less efficient). Try it! I hope this will help

Hi i recently tried waxing and it sort of hurts but hurts in more places than others. I think it really hurts down at the bottom of your shin by your ankels, You get used to it though. I found that unless your hairs are quite long you only get some hairs more than others and as for less hair growth that smaybe true but when i wax my legs i get a rash where the hair has been pulled so i have rashy legs other than smooth legs. I have also tryed then new veet wax strips and they were not that good as they did the same thing gave me a rash. I used nair you heat the wax in the microwave and smooth it on but its dead messy. and you got to be careful not to put it when its red hot as it burns. I prefer to shave with a decent razor but veet 3 min mousse is good but smells a bit, but leaves your legs super smooth for ages. I would say at least try waxing if you have never done it b4 but i would recommend getting it done at a proper salon.

I have waxed for 12yrs and yes it has gotten a little easier to handle. If you plan to wax yourself be careful, as a stylist I make sure who ever waxes me is good and knows what they are doing not "lets hope for the BEST". HORROR STORY: My first time ever getting waxed was in Cosmo school, so we all were learning, my instructor says let wax "B" because I had sideburns like ELVIS. So one quick "Tear" "PAIN" and for 2weeks bruised from under eye down cheek and neck. Yep!! have someone who knows what they are doing.
But I did a bikini wax, armpit wax, and eyebrow wax on a Gal that brought a spray to numb the area to be waxed. Using a warm pack and making sure to use Baby powder (attachs to hair which in turn holds on to wax for better hair removal) will help reduce pain. That might help.
AND yes the more you wax the less hair will grow back speaking from experience Elvis sideburns have been gone for 9 years. lol.
If you see little tiny spots of blood the hair will not grow back there.

Depends where you are getting waxed.
I would recommend going to a beauty salon rather than doing it yourself.
If you are getting legs done its not too painful, apart from top of thighs. Also bikini line or full hollywood wax is very painful as it's such a delicate area. Although it does save the hassle of shaving while on holiday.
I get eyebrows waxed regularly, this gets less painful the more frequently you have it done.

Pain depends on the area, legs yea some pain but you can probably take it, underarms no way use nair, bikini get a pro!!! The less hair growing back is a myth. The natural stuff is a little less painful, actual wax and heating the product is painful. I know it sounds funny but try 'nads' try a pharmacy store like wallgreens.
If you don't think you can take the pain try nair.

Well, I've never waxed, but I remember when my aunt waxed my mom's legs and she said it hurt like a b*tch. Sorry if that isn't good news for you. But waxing is way better than shaving because it rips out the hair from the roots instead of just getting the top hairs from shaving. So I would reccomend waxing.

Everyone is different.
I can wax and have no problems then can do it another time and get the most amount of bruises.
If it is for your legs then just go for it. if however it is for the bikini line or for the full fagany then that would depend.
Go and get it done professionally that way you might not get too many bruises, but having said that I have done it myself and not had any bruising then another time i have done it and looked as if i have been kicked in the cnut big style so it is down to the individual. you have to try it before you can decide what is best for you... good luck
